DR Trip

Tomorrow I leave on the trip to the Dominican Republic with four pastors and two members of the New York City Leadership Center to train pastors. Our group consists of...

We will be traveling from Santo Domingo to Barahona, Dominican Republic where we will stay.

Here is our schedule:
THURSDAY
ADP (World Vision Area Development Project) visit

1.Brief encounter at the ADP with the technical staff -with the presence of some pastors- for an overview on ADP's work, the context of the area, achievements and impact on children and families

2.Visit and learn about the Health Friendly Unit and how it impacts children and families in the Batey communities

3.Visit the Batey 4 women project for short-cycle produce crops with organoponic gardening

4.Visit the youth textile enterprise in Batey 5

5.Visit the goat production module of Batey 8 women

6.Visit the project of 27 homes (for families affected by storms Noel and Olga) that is currently in the detailing stage in Concho Primo sector, Batey 6

7.Visit the Community Computer Center for children and teenagers in Batey 6 if time allows

FRIDAY
Training Session with Local Pastors

SATURDAY
Depart back to the U.S.
